Artist Awards Jacqueline Kellock

Jacqueline Kellock AirplayExpress Awards Page

Jacqueline Kellock was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia surrounded with Celtic and Traditional Country music. At an early age she developed her interest in writing poetry and short stories. It wasn’t until her move to Calgary Alberta, that she learned her passion for songwriting. With encouragement from Canadian Country Entertainer, Dick Damron, Jacqueline went forward and met with John Thiel, owner of Horizon Studios. Together they completed several songwriter demos. When she is writing a song, the melody flows through with the words. As she does not play an instrument, John Thiel puts the melody down on guitar and from this point the song is created into a radio ready demo. Jacqueline also found encouragement from her brother, Canadian Author, Frank Macdonald, with whom she has co-written, and Canadian Author, Farley Mowat, who influenced her with writing, And No Birds Sang On The Beach Of Sicily. She has participated in songwriter circles in the UK and Nashville, Tn. While in Nashville, she met with Publisher, Ernie Rowall, owner of Fun Time Studios on Music Row and other great Songwriters including Ted Sidelinger with whom she is now co-writing. Several of her songs have been recorded and her Christian song, Lead Me Back Home, has had radio play in the UK, Canada and the USA. What Jacqueline wants for her listeners is to hear, in her songs, the same passion and emotion she experienced when they were written
