Growing up in Richmond, IL, Rob started singing around the tender age of 4. He formed his first band at the age of 14, singing, picking guitar and mandolin. After a few years, the band reorganized and was called “Rob Knowlton & the Bluegrass Travelers”. Ron’s dream came true in early 1999 when he got together with Bobby G. Rice of MidLand Productions. He recorded two songs that were released nationally, one of which he wrote himself, “I Don’t Think She Loves Me Anymore”. The songs received a lot of airplay and chart action in the USA and Overseas markets. This helped make way for his first CD album, titled from his self-penned song “I’m Holden Back The Tears (Of A Broken Heart)”. Other national charted songs include his number 1 song “Ole Slewfoot” Rob has performed on shows such as “The Nashville Video Showcase” “The Nashville Cowboy Church” and appeared many times on the popular “Midwest Country” RFD-TV Show” which is seen by many across the country!
