With influences ranging from Bonnie Raitt, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, Etta James, Prince and Wynonna to harmony aficionados Kool and the Gang and Billy Ocean, Anna Marie learned from her heroes to develop the emotion, tenderness and sass in her own voice. ‘If a song moves me to laugh or cry, I’m invested 100%. If I feel a song has a particular message that someone needs to hear, then I’m sold!’ says Anna Marie of her true love of song.
