His songs are socio-philosophical, drawing from his personal life experiences and unsettling observations. While some of his songs may have a satirical tone, they are all aimed at promoting human rights, equality, justice, racial unity, and harmony, as well as the prophetic Biblical promise of worldwide peace in the future.
